Happy 40th birthday to me!
Happy birthday to Me! Other people born on June 28th include: Henry VIII, John Cusack and Gilda Radner.
Yep, I'm hitting that big milestone today. Funnily enough, I don't feel any different. I definitely don't feel 40. When I was a little kid, 40 just seemed sooooo old. And now that I'm here, it's like my life is only just beginning. Today I'm not going to do any naval gazing and think about all the things that I haven't accomplished at this time in my life that I thought I would have by now. Nope, today is for me and to think about how great it is to be alive. That's definitely not something to take for granted. Ok, I also have a whole lot of things to do today so I don't have time for those kind of thoughts right now.
Why on earth did I decide that throwing a house warming/birthday party today would be a good idea? I would say that I'm pretty much done with the food except for the pinwheel sandwiches which I will be spending the morning making and some brownies. I still have to clean bathrooms and vaccuum up Felix fur. I'm really trying to wait until the last minute to do that. Wonder why?
So I think I'm in pretty good shape. I hope. I'm trying not to stress out about it. I think once I get things set and people show up, I'm hopefully not going to be all "I hope everyone is having a good time" and being so anxious that I don't enjoy myself.
