Lazy Friday
Well, I had Friday off work today and it was nice to have a day off. I have to admit that I haven't done too terribly much. I did a load of laundry. Found all of the jewelry I want to wear at Faire and have it set out. Loaded a pouch full of dubloons and mermaid's tears in preparation for our appearances tomorrow. Gotta have stuff to hand out to little kids. Also printed up the knighting certificate that I really need to go out and find a Kinkos and get it copied at, once again in preparation for our appearances tomorrow. I also read the paper and worked out some.
So my plans for later in the evening include: watching IU basketball, working out some more, reading some more of my Elizabethan books, and working on a pouch or two for Faire. I think it would be nice to have a nice looking pouch. I really need to make the hair thingy, which is really just a big pouch. I will tackle that one first since it's the one that I need. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to hide my non-period hair. Yes, I am getting all freaked out by the sewing thing. I just don't want to mess it up.
I also found out that my hat should be sent out this weekend and I really hope it shows up soon. I have no idea what's going on with my partlet. At the end of February when I paid for it, I was told that it was going out the next week. I haven't heard from the lady since, nor have I seen my partlet. I am beyond frustrated. I should have remembered that this lady, while she does nice work, is really slow and not the best communicator. If I order anything from her again, it will be in the summer when I don't really need it. I'm worried that I will be forced to make a partlet of my own. I hope that I can just borrow one from someone.
Not much else going on. I feel vaguely guilty for being such a slug but you know, it's nice to just have a day or two to not do anything.
