Happy Valentines Day
Happy Valentines Day to everyone out there. The only valentine I got was from my mom, but I'm not all bent out of shape about it and not all depressed about that either. I definitely didn't expect anything from John because the boy can't even remember birthdays he's not going to do anything for Valentines, not to mention that he's caught the crud that is going around and he possibly caught that from me, so I will cut him some slack.
But on a more positive note, he said he'd meet Mom whenever she comes to town. See, Mom asked on Sunday if she was going to get to meet him. I told her it all depends if he's still in town and if he is in town if he's in class or not. I always get nervous when Mom wants to meet the guys in my life. She never really likes them. I personally think it's because she thinks that nobody is good enough for us. Mom can be pretty intimidating when she wants to be. But I think John can handle her. Heck, it's not like we're dating. Who knows what we are doing. All my friends say we are since he helps me with stuff around the house and all that. Who knows? I'm having fun and that is all that matters.
Haven't really done much today after work other than workout, workout some more once I get home (I need to get into good shape for Thom's wedding in April) and watch some hockey and send out lots and lots of Faire reminders. Yes, I am good at those sort of details but I wasn't very good at running things.
I really need to get cracking and actually start trying to work on some character development and do some more research. I might as well use all of those Elizabethan history books I have sitting on the shelves. It's kind of strange for me to be playing a real person. Admittedly, it's a real person that there just isn't a whole lot of info out there on. I mean, I know her basic facts, but nothing about her personality. So I guess that gives me more to work with. I know it's going to be interesting working on the accent since I've done a more "creative" one over the years. Now I have to do a court accent. It should be fun, fun, fun. I also ordered a bum roll and a jewelled girdle today. Now I need to get a better hat.
Ok, I really should go back to the hockey game, though I think it must be over by now.
