Home sick from work
*sniff* Yep, I'm on a sick day. Sigh, I haven't taken one since 2005. But I've got a fever and body aches and a really nasty sounding cough that has made my throat raw and intermittent chills even with a low grade fever. Sounds vaguely like a mild case of the flu. Part of me feels that I should have gone into work, stayed there for a few hours and then gone home at lunch because some of my coworkers say then that counts as a full day. I seriously do doubt that one BTW. But honestly, I just didn't feel like driving in to work and then turning right around again. And I don't want to make my co-workers sick and I would not have been productive at all. So I've just woken up from a nap. And then am going to go out and get more Tylenol, since I am out. And some cough medicine and other things. Thank goodness the workmen across the street have been pretty quiet so I could nap some. I do hate the fact that work lumps vacation and sick days all in one pot so I think that encourages people to come in when they are sick so they don't lose vacation time. I guess I could have done work from home...But I hurt enough sitting that I would not have gotten anything done. Sigh!
