Weekend fun...

Back in the office for the first time in a long time. So what am I doing, but updating LJ. Ok, it's called wasting time before doing an expense report and my stupid performance document.

Turned out to be a nice weekend. The drive home from Hickory was very long and tiring. I wound up getting a nasty headache and wound up not going to Anthony's bday celebration at the Flying Saucer. I just didn't feel like going out. And was in bed by 10:30 and had a nice long sleep. Apparently someone must have complained about the construction on Saturdays since they haven't done it in quite a few weeks. It was so very nice to sleep in in my own bed.

Saturday
paid some bills, went out powerwalking and worked the abs. Gotta get in shape for the reunion in October. Caught up on reading the newspaper and cleaning out magazines and catalogs. The recycling men are just going to love me next week. Thought about laying out in the sun, but there didn't seem to be enough for that. So I decided to go out and buy some stuff. Of course, all the stuff that I bought wasn't covered by the tax free weekend. Funny thing that. I got a new handsfree headset for my cell that I think will work out much better than the one I had that broke. Got a memory card for my digital camera, a new set of sheets and an airbake cookie sheet. Go me! Came home and watched Alton Brown and then "The Wedding Crashers". You know I need to get into the wedding spirit since I have to go to one in a few weeks. It was a cute movie. Vince Vaughn is one tall man.

Sunday
John invited me to the Fiona Apple concert. He had some free tickets and he thought of me. How sweet. Ok, I'm not all that familiar with her music, but Pete keeps saying that "Annie needs to be hip", so I figured why not go. I mean the ticket was free and the company good. So off I went. Regency Park is a nice venue and once the sun went down, it was nice sitting on the lawn under the stars and gorgeous moon. The concert was ok. The sound levels seemed a bit off and Fiona sounded a bit screechy. But I guess I need to have heard her albums first. Hung out a bit with John afterwards and got home a wee bit too late. And am now feeling like I'm coming down with a cold. Ugh!

Ok, time to run...
