Doug: Flatmate. Under National, Doug's job as a illustration tutor is considered "miscellaneous" spend.
==============================
If I voted National, I'd get an extra $70 per week in my pocket through their proposed tax cuts. That's a serious bribe but, as American sitcoms keep telling me, there's no such thing as a free lunch.
So what do I get for my $70? I get to compromise on all manner of social policies (But who cares right? I have no kids, old people or mad brownies to worry about), Doug gets to be jobless (Again, not my job) and I get Don Brash as the leader of my country (Divisive anti-Christ anyone?).
I really want a tax cut but there are things out there worth more than $70 per week. What is the going rate for a soul these days?
