That ACEN post...
Ok so tomorrow turned into a week or so... damn my busy schedule...
Any way ACEN this year was a lot of fun
jedimeg16 got her costumes completed pretty much the day of con, with a little effort here and there during the con, but I leave it to her to talk about her costumes.
Photos of con will be added to this post via a Rapidshare link later today, as honestly the amount of time it would take to post not only my own pictures but Justin's (a person who was in our group this year) will take me some time, and its just easier on my brain.
Con as a whole was fun, got to watch the start of a couple of series I have been interested in, but there is still a lot I need to catch up on and watch again, got to Anime hell this year right on time, which I was hoping for some really new stuff to me, which there wasn't that much, although I did get to see some of my cult favorites, such as Forklift Driver Klaus and Rejected cartoons.
Got to see a couple of panels, but there wasn't all that much this year that interested me, well that didn't interfere with other made plans.
During con we also went to darksyde78 and gretel2381 wedding (which I have a couple of pictures from which will be included in my picture link later today), which was a lot of fun for me at least as I got to see a whole bunch of my college buddies, which is always a plus in my book.
Food this year was pretty much well planned, but I think I need to plan it out just a bit better for next year, a little more variety and a little more fruits to this plan.
My swag on the other hand was also nice, as this year both jedimeg16 and I got a pretty size able tax refund, which was split between my loans and "fun" money, which a portion was our part of the room for ACEN and then what ever we wanted for things at ACEN. This year I picked up :
- A complete set of Giant Robo + the Ginrei special
- Ah! My Goddess TV Season 1 (which was split in cost between Megan and I)
- The Gokusen box set
- Grenadier The Beautiful Warrior box set
- A "I Heart Pie" Button, and a Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass DS Stylus (it's got a potion bottle topper on it, and a shield that doubles as a screen cleaner attached to it)

In other news Megan and I have finished watching all of the Indiana Jones movies yesterday and have made plans to see Kingdom of the Crystal Skull later today.
