So on the agenda for the night and the long weekend is ACEN of all things!
Ahh Acen, I only got one day last year due to having to get
jedimeg16 back home safely for a bridal shower. It was a good day all around for
jedimeg16 and I, and this year happens to be looking on the up and up!
As it stands right now the plan is
Thursday
- Finish packing the gear.
- Load up the HHR.
- Pit stop at Mitsuwa for some con goodies.
- Remainder of trip to the hotel/acen.
- Check in 3pm.
- Rest/relax for a short while, while we wait for the lines to open up for us to get our badges.
Friday
- Con as normal for the better part of the day.
- 3:30/4pm-ish leave for
darksyde78 and
gretel2381's wedding.
- Around 7:30/8pm-ish leave for con again.
- 9:30/10pm-ish Anime Hell and Midnight Madness (a staple in my book).
Saturday and Sunday
- Con as Normal!
Things left to do on my plate Tonight
- Finish packing my things (I still have my own personal bag to pack, most of which is things to do if I am just sitting around, tunes, etc).
- Pack my gear for con (such as clothing, toothbrush, deodorant, soap, etc).
Things left to do on my plate Tomorrow
- Finish packing food.
- Clean cat box.
- Finish packing HHR.
- Leave for con!
In non-Acen related news I was again told by a walgreens customer that he was incorrectly using his insulin syringes, by using them for like 3 or 4 uses before changing his syringe...
This is such a scary thing to do... and a not so safe thing to do either... honestly if you have seen what an insulin syringe looks like after one single use then you would never want to try such a thing again, that and the risks associated with using one-use disposable insulin syringes more than once is the chance of getting an infection from a needle that isn't sterile anymore, which to a diabetic can be life THREATENING!
Sometimes I wonder if some of these people out there are honestly just trying to injure themselves or that they really have no idea on what they are doing to themselves... ahh the wonders of the world...
