An interesting story of sorts
Well it came to my attention today that someone out there on the internet had discovered my LJ and my walgreens customer stories.
And they felt so compelled to write a letter to the corporate offices about this saying I was giving the company a bad name.
No, it's not so much that I am saying walgreens is a bad company (although there is a lot of odd stuff the corporate offices tell us we have to do when it doesn't make much sense too, but we end up having to do it anyway because, well their in charge) its just some of the people I deal with on a daily basis are bad company.
This letter was then passed from corporate to my district manager, and then to the pharmacy manager (I.E. pretty much all my bosses) who looked over my LJ and said I really wasn't doing anything wrong.
Now it stands to reason that if I was passing out private information about people I could get into a whole mess of problems, as that would be breaking HIPPA laws, which protect peoples private medical information. I know better than that, which is why I don't use customer names in my posts of walgreens stories. I also don't give away information like this and this person is taking this and this drug or here is some random persons phone number and all their insurance information......
No, I don't do that because then I would be causing the customer a problem, and at the same time getting myself into a mess of trouble, and that mess of trouble would not only lose me my job at walgreens but cost me any future jobs because I broke the law in some way.
I only post my stories about customers who present there stupidity for its face value, all nameless, all private information-less.
So I will continue to post my walgreens stories about stupid customers who decide to share with me information I never want to know about.
Like the 70 year old man telling me about pleasing his old lady with a vibrator, that's always information and a visual everyone could have done with out.....
But still, for any of you out there who don't stop and think about it, if someone tells you something stupid that they did is it not wrong to laugh at them for it?
