I just saw your post on facebook on Tim Motika's page, so I thought it good to consult the journal for the latest. Finished? Congrats!
If you're heading back to Illinois in short order, let's get together! I've finished my car repair projects for the most part(thankfully), and am preparing to go to Pittsburgh for protests and conferences from the 19th-26th or so.
If you recall my mentioning nifty little diesel aluminum vans called kubvans, I miraculously have found two. They're in need of repair, but are just about too cool to pass up.
Should you be staying in Canada for a bit, I'd be down for rendezvousing after the 26th at any place of your choosing. I suppose there's a slim chance I'll get some news and decide to skip the Pittsburgh events. If you're considering any explorations of Canada, particularly. I need to discover if it's possible to move there, and the best way seems to be to visit.
The state of Wisconsin has something called Badgercare Plus now; it's a health insurance program for anybody making less than about 21K/year, or between jobs. That puts it second to MA for getting insurance, although in WI you can own a car and get it. In MA if you have a vehicle, you can't qualify for state subsidized insurance.
