Odd thing happened on the way home from Wal*Mart…

Yesterday I spent most of my time cleaning my apartment because I had some overnight guests coming. Around 4:45 I went to Wal*Mart to get a few things, some stinky carpet sprinkle stuff, some new towel (I didn’t go for the towel, I saw them while I was there so I picked them up,) a dust pan, things of that ilk. On my way home I crashed my car into someone else. It was dumb, I looked over at the shopping list I had made, think I’d forgotten something and when I looked up is was too late. The airbags deployed pretty quick, it was really amazing I watched the steering wheel split open and the bag unfold. Well, I feel pretty stupid, this was completely my fault; the other driver is ok as am I. Bad things coming from nowhere, hmmm I think I mentioned that before somewhere.

Alan, one of the guys coming down to visit from Phoenix was in the area and stopped at the accident site to make sure I was ok, then gave me a ride home. At home I calmed down by cleaning some more. We still went out to the bar last night, that was the whole reason they came down. I got a little drunk, got flogged a bit, tied a cute bear up and then came home. I still feel stupid for hitting someone and totaling my car. Life does go on, probably a little rougher for me after this but we’re all still alive and well.

Today I had to do something fun, so, we went and saw Batman Begins finally, it was get and for a bit I forgot that I have no car. However, I’m alone now and thinking about the lady I hit and the fact that I have no way to work. Trying to make light of this isn’t working too well so I thought I tell you about it.

Things come in threes… if you know Sean or read my first post, you know he was pretty sick recently, Troy another good friend of my cut of 5mm of his left index finger while oiling his motorcycle chain, now me, so what this tells me is that you are all safe for a while.

Stay safe, be careful, and watch where you’re going.
