Tomorrow my emergency substitute folder is due. It was originally due last Friday but not many of us had even started it. I got some help from my mentor putting it together and also from a fellow fourth grade teacher. I had been dreading the fact that it had to be put together so of course I waited until the last minute. Thanks mom, for your procrastination habits that you passed down to me! ;-) Anyways---I finally got it all sorted out day by day and put all of the sheets into page protectors. I wasted a BUNCH of paper and copies on this damn sub plan and it most likely will not be used. :( Oh well---at least it's done and now I won't have to do it for next year----unless I switch grade levels. Here are some pics...
I also thought I'd show you my new laptop. My friend Dan who works along side of my friend Eric in the IT department at GVSU recommended that I buy a Dell--he set up my entire computer for me and all I had to say was "add to cart" on the website and within 2 weeks or so it was delivered! I am so thankful to have good friends!! I wouldn't have had any clue on where to begin when 'building' my own laptop. Thanks Dan! Here is my new Dell Inspiron 1525
I also got something else in the mail. Something i was NOT looking forward to.
BUT--I called and got forbearance until January! :)
I am still waiting on the picture of the HUGE black, white, and yellow spider found in the grape vines--Meagan has it on her camera. I will post it as soon as I get it!
Other than that--I had one of my fourth grade boys pee his pants today. Lovely. Seriously---FOURTH GRADE?!
Oh--and one of my fourth graders has a reading level of .9! That isn't even a 1st grade level!!!!!!!!!! So how shall I reach him AND reach my high students so they can go above and beyond? Ughh---this differentiation thing is TOUGH!
Field Trip tomorrow to some environmental camp--it will most likely get rained out. Of course. And I didn't plan on anything if it seriously DOES get rained out. Maybe I should get to that right NOW.
Love you all--and miss you all!
