(no subject)
Quinn is at the doctor with Sean right now..or is the other way around? Anyway, Quinn came home around noon today with a fever..again! I think in the past month, he has come home early from school with a fever three times..ughh..Poor guy. And he will NOT take the medicine no matter what we do. it's soooo damn annoying. he took some advil yesterday with grandma NO PROBLEM. And it's not cool. His fever is about 102, and he was shivering and shaking, and started doing those jerky movements he did before he had his seizure that time.
Ugh..Anyway. We'll see what the doctor says.
Meanwhile I am completely miserable. This cough is just getting worse and my head is pounding every time i cough. On New Year's I felt the same way, but worse..It was so bad I took a vicodin. I might take one again tonight. I feel bad doing that, but fuck..My head hurts.
oh, and for some reason today I've had a terrible stomach ache since about 11:00..right after my doctor's appt? It just got worse and worse and I started to freak out that it was real contractions. I was on the phone with Quinn's doctor trying to make an appt at about 4:00, and my ob's office called to schedule my c-section, and I was like "actually, I was going to call you, I'm having stomach pains, blah blah blah"..She had the doctor call me back, who told me lay down and if the pains didn't go away in a few hours, to go to Labor and Delivery.
Well, they seem to be gone now. I have no idea what it was. It was like contractions and gas at the same time, reallly high up in my stomach, near my diaphram. These sharp pains, and my stomach was all hard at the same time. I thought maybe it was related to heartburn, but it wasn't my esophagus, and they did feel like real contractions. I don't know. But it doesn't hurt anymore so I guess I won't worry about it unless it happens again.
Before Quinn's fever, and before I got the bad stomach ache, I was actually having a good day! My doctor's appt went really well. My BP is fine, my cervix is not dilated at all and the doctor said I could run errands and stuff if i need to, as long as i lay down for a few hours afterwards. We also talked about scheduling my c-section. It will probably be around March 10. We didn't get to scheduling it when the lady called b/c of my stomach ache..But that's probably when we'll do it. That's only 6 weeks away!!! So crazy. If my water breaks before then I'll just go straight to L&D..
I don't know what to think about my stomach ache today..maybe it was just gas or indigestion? It was pretty painful, and it seemed to come and go every five minutes, so I just don't know.
Gawd. this cough. I took a mucinex and tylenol a few hours and it's not doing anything. How do I know if I have whooping cough? Or is this just post nasal drip?
