day 09 - a song that you can dance to
i really love a song i can dance to, and i really love to dance. back in my early-mid 20s, i used to frequent

Yeah, Sanctuary, typical goth club name. When I moved South, I think the Goth bar in Atlanta was The Masquerade. There was also the Savage Garden in Toronto as well, I think it is still there and still goth (maybe?)
In Buffalo, the closets you can get to Goth night are Batcave/Retro nights at Club Diablo and Transmission "dance Parties" where new/indie stuff, EBM, etc. along with some old "standards" (Cure, New Order.)

yeah it's funny how most goth clubs have one of a few different names involved, ha. they seem to be disappearing.
here in the bay area, the longest-standing goth club is death guild, but they play too much newer ooontz-ooontz stuff for my liking. though my friend who used to DJ @ dark sparkle now apparently plays old goth and deathrock in the upstairs room there, so i may have to check it out. lately a rash of new wavey-coldwave clubs are coming out of the woodwork, which i like. dark sparkle was the best though, because they played a mix of everything good- old goth, old industrial, a bit of punk, glam, new wave, britpop and miscellaneous stuff like prince. i think there's a goth club in LA called sanctuary maybe? i can't remember. i haven't been to many out of state that i can recall. i went to an 80s club in new orleans that had a goth room, but they werent playing danceable stuff there.
