I'm tossing out punchlines that were never there ...

Well, p-day is drawing closer! ;) I'm planning to post the ending to ITFOTN either late today (Wednesday), Thursday, or Friday. I haven't quite decided yet, but everything has finally been edited to a somewhat readable level, and I finally finished typing the end notes as well as the numerous author notes. Imbrium has given me the thumbs up, so all ( Read more... )

I LOVE IT!! Hehe, I may be a bit biased, I love Haku from Spirited Away. I usually don't do the whole Haku/Akira comparison, i think it's kinda...I dunno, meh. But I liked how you did that. "Also, the idea that Touya has his own supernatural secrets kinda appealed to me. I dunno why." I dunno why either, but it DOES appeal to me. Hey, we do have a lot of interests in common! (morbidity aside... ^^)

As for editing, I didn't see a whole lot. One or two words that were misspelled or something. Very good in that respect. I love the plot, and the transition from his dream to him sitting in his room was well written. All in all, a good short ficcie. *bows at your greatness*

I think you should put a link at least, don't bury it. Other people might enjoy the Haku reference, or thr fact that it's Akira, either or. *shrugs* Post it, and yes that's my final answer! ^^

P.S. - short fics are good, they give me something to read! Mwuahaha, keep it up muse! *goes to open the gates* >:D

No! Don't do that. The muse doesn't need any more encouragement! *good gravy woman, it's like giving carrots to the horses of the apocalypse!*

But sincerely, thanks for the input! Wargh. I'll have to look for the spelling typos. meh. I hate that. *Sigh* ;) But thanks for the heads up! *goes to hunt*

I was worried about the dream sequences working out, but am relieved that it worked for you! yay! I'm lucky to have smart readers.

Hehe I finally posted the ending, and I put up the link. And there's a special new epilogue. With our favorite Haku lookalike. Hehehe. It's kinda bad, but I got tired, so well ... >_o let me know what you think.

well, I'm nervous, but .... here's hoping that people like the darn thing. Thanks for all your help on the ending, btw. You were awesome!

cheers,
muri

It's not out of character at all! I adored it of course; there's something about the way you write Hikago fiction that makes it seem so very real and Japanese. ^_^ Am looking forward to seeing a final version soon!

(And I'm of course really anticipating the final chapter of Forests, of course! That is meant to be an unsubtle hint that you should definitely post it up right away! XD)

You always make me blush, you know that? >_o. Good gravy, hehehe, if my ego wasn't big enough already.

I need to edit this more extensively, but I've lost the steam for it ... ITFOTN pooped me out. Meh. Hehe, so if you see anything, I am more than happy to change it. I posted the link anyway, but i hid it well enough in my notes that only the most crazy will find it. Maybe that'll buy me sometime to edit the piece a bit. I hope.

Hehe, but yeah, let me know what you think about the ending to Forests. It's making me really nervous at the moment, but well ... it's out there. At least it's over now!

I finally got a chance to read the end after finishing the gazillion problem sets due today (;_;), and wah, what a great ending to the fic! I particularly like the way you capture Shindou and Touya's dynamic, and the subtle touch of melancholy in the epilogue was really wonderful. (Also, now I think I understand better the Touya fic you just posted. ^_^) I'm glad you chose to put in Osusuki's moment of foreshadowing; it lends an ambiguity to the resolution that does indeed remind me of how Hikaru no Go ends with the "and so we continue into the future" feeling.

I think I'd like to read it again, beginning to end. It's really a wonderful story, which is difficult to find in fanfiction--there are a lot of brilliant writers but not many of them come up with such elaborate and beautiful plots. Not just flattering you, it's the truth! ^_~

Hehe, your problem sets sound like they'd confuse me very very much. (Glad I was never a science/math major ... I don't think I could handle it ( ... )

*keeps eyes closed as she scrolls down* Damn, keeping this promise is getting difficult!

You going to be posting the ending here or in ffnet? Just trying to plan my all-night reading session... ^_^ Yay! I can finally figure out what you've been spazzing about all summer!

Uuurgh... Get back from an all-day flight from Ottawa, then the very next day go to both my elementary school and my regular school, culminating in 4 classes in a row... My brain is officially mush. And I have an hour's private lesson tonight too. *whine* Why did I come back? Why oh why oh why...? Heh... on upside, found my recontracting papers waiting on my desk when I got back. I very much enjoyed putting the big checkmark on the "will NOT recontract" box.

Oooo, felt SO good! I think I'll do it again...

Oh yeah, baby!

*looks around furtively* Ahem... ^^;; Pay no attention to me, I'm jet-lagged and grumpy.

Um. hehehe. It's up. But unless you've read Hikago's manga or watched the anime, I don't think reading the thingie is any good. Go enjoy the GOOD stuff first, you know? *wibbles around nervously* In other words, get to Tsutaya, woman! ;) But sincerely, ITFOTN is the longest thing I've ever attempted, and it's a butt buster. I'm not sure I'd read it myself if I didn't write it. >_o ( ... )

I have indeed seen FMA 51...

*deep breath*

Ohmygodohmygodohmygoooooooood!!! *biiiiiiig spazz* Squeeeeee!!! Al!!! *bawl* Ed! *indifferent face* Wrath/Winry. *fangirly outrage* Roy! *turns into mush puddle* Hawkeye! And they got rid of the annoying damsel-in-distress, yaaaaay! ^_^

If someone doesn't make a sequel to this series, someone will have to pay oh so very dearly!

I liked that little snippet! I think it's a secret indicator of your desire to write a full-fledged crossover epic. Come on, you know you want to.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your story, although right now ff.net is hating on me and not allowing me to post a review. I was so happy when I got the update alert!

And I got a review shoutout!!! AHHH OMGZ I AM TEH COOL *hit by brick*

Would you mind terribly if I friended you? You're pretty interesting, and I'd love to see any further writing from you as it comes hot off the press. ^_^b

^_^ I'm Prismatic on ff.net. Not that I ever write anything that's not for school... >_o;; *bows*

Aw...but if you wish to do a crossover...dun be afraid! Just make a lot of notes for yourself. And as for my opinion...well, as long as the plot can keep up, I say the longer, the better. Nobody likes a story that quits before the last potato chip is gone. As for your journal content: whining...check. Fangirl activities...check. Random insanity...check. Sounds like my cup of tea after all! :D (Or, cough, my OWN journal. ^^; Eheh.)

My exuberance overflows! I have been welcomed! AHAHAHA! *chokes on a carrot* ow.

Hi!! Thanks for visiting my journal! And yes, I remember you from the reviews ... thank you very much, btw, for those! Hehehe, and thank you for coming here ... it's easier to reply you here than through FFNET (whose reply thing doesn't work very well for me).

First thing, no worries about the concrit. I've never turned down any offer to help ... after all, you're the one trying to help me improve the story, ne? I really appreciate that, btw.

As for the commentary about Akira's futon ... hehe, good point. I kinda forgot, since I know Hikaru has a normal bed, as do many kids nowaday, from what I can tell. *shrug* But since Akira's household is a bit more traditional, so you're right. *G* Thanks for pointing that out. This piece isn't going to be published "officially" ... that is, put up in an archive or ffnet. Thematically, I don't know if it really works. Like you said, I don't see Haku and Akira being a lot a like ... I just think they share the same sort of intensity. And it's always fun doing a slight what if ( ... )

Wow, actually, I liked that snippet. :) I liked it muchly (as did my muse, which means it's thinking about possibilities).

I don't mind handing it over if you have ideas. *shrug* You can even say "loosely based on" and go from there. Hehehe, I don't know if you really have to credit me at all, if you don't use any text ... heee, ideas are free to all and sundry, after all.

And your writing is fine! I was interested throughout, and I like the idea of Sai as a guardian spirit to Hikaru. Talk about the master player .... he really could give ol' Raito a run for the money. After all, how can you kill something that's already dead?

Though he need more of a motivation to kill Hikaru in the first place. Raito is very very careful, and he goes by his own moral standard. Hikaru isn't a criminal, and unless he shows that he's more of a threat to "Kira" than through pure conjection, ... but that's up to a master storyteller to figure out. :) I'm sure you're up to it!

hehehe, I'm glad you like Death NOte. It is an awesome series. <3. Well, ( ... )
