Proud of my children!
For those of you who know me well . . . you've heard all of this already. I'm postin' here, 'cause I'm so proud of my kids, I could bust.
Littler one is doing GREAT with cub scouts! He is gaining friends and is very enthused about doing the activities. Next, he REALLY wants to do Karate (or similar marshal art). I think this will be good for him. Now to find a place for him . . . Also, he wants to be like his brother. This is a good thing (see below - he wants to be on stage).
The older one just finished playing the Wiz in their high school's production of "The Wiz". He is only a Freshman, and yet ended up with 3 songs that were his! Wow! I was impressed by my son. His voice is really maturing and I'm still bustin'! :) :) :) The Show was GREAT - there are some fantastic singers and performers at the school. It must be hard for the director to choose - because the chorus wasn't a place for average kids - they were all GREAT!!! Then, this past weekend, he auditioned for State Chorus and finished 12th in the State. He's in - no problem. He was diligent in practicing for States and I am so glad it showed.
