By the numbers-ish
The highlights of the past two weeks in quantitative form (plus a fic rec, just 'cause):
(Damn, my life has been so banal.)
.Days spent in Oregon w/ family - 4 (where I introduced my 13 yr old cousin to the wonders of Dr. Horrible, and then proceeded to mainline old Simpsons episodes)
.DVDs bought - 2, Dr Horrible and Angel Season 2 (slowly filling out my Whedon collection)
.Books bought - 6 (four for school, and the other two because I am a crazy person. I really don't need any more books, really.)
.Days worked - Ugh, too many. I also ended up watering a garden for 13+ hours for a friend of the family while they were out of town. At least they said they'd pay me.
.Tomatoes picked - dozens of pounds... seriously... it's tomato season people.
.Shows watched - surprisingly few, besides the Simpsons and Dr Horrible I only (barely) caught up on my summer shows: Psych, Leverage (renewed for a 3rd season \o/), Eureka, and Warehouse 13. I've been on break.
.Fics read - A couple, including almost all of easy_academy, which is a JoBros/Band of Brothers/Disney RPF epic au fic 'verse that is so so awesome, seriously, read it. It doesn't matter if you don't like/know any of those fandoms. I haven't seen Band of Brothers yet and I still thought it was awesome. Epic! And Awesome!! Read it!
Wow, I can't believe it's the end of August. So many people are going/have gone back to school. My 'last' summer is almost over. How did that happen?
Also, random, how did my mother not know that Rufus Wainwright was gay?! We were listening to One Man Guy and she was like 'huh, is this guy gay or something?' I just about burst out laughing. I mean come on, really. It's like asking if Freddie Mercury was gay. It's just so darn obvious. Silly mum.
