*sigh* God, plot, where are you???

Please excuse the following rant, flist.

I'm participating in the Star Trek Big Bang this year.  Which is positively insane given that I have four AP summer assignments due August 17 and I also want to do JulNoWriMo.  Fail optimism, fail.

Anyway, the issue is, I have three chapters written.  My plot needs to get itself started, but there are Romulans involved and I'm not sure how much of the Romulans is going to happen until the real antagonist comes a-highjacking the Enterprise.  The Romulan commander's reboot self is going to be in this, too, and I need a way to get her on the Enterprise in such a fashion that it's not too similar to the sixth movie.  I've concluded that, if I have to, there will be random Walt Whitman poetry involved, because, if the Klingons love Shakespeare, well, why can't the Romulans love WW?

I wish I could say more, but I'm not sure how tight the lips of secrecy have to be for this.

Finally, I need a beta for this crazy behemoth of a thing.  I'm 6k words in and the plot has barely started.  Two of the main pairings have been set up, yes, but dammo, plot, I need you.

No that wasn't me quoting TMP.  Not at all.

frustration, big bang, writer's block
