Let's break out the champagne bottles -- I have a title!

Okay, so I'm involved in the cm_bigbang , and so I've spent the last few months writing the behemoth Steampunk AU Crossover of Doom (and that's how I would refer to it).  But it had no title.  I just couldn't come up with one.

So, since I'm supposed to post on August third (though I've already created the fic's posting comm, stmpnkprofilers ), I figured it was going to be kind of necessary to find an actual title for the thing.  I couldn't find any song lyrics that would work, so I turned to the late, great Walt Whitman and his "Song of Myself" for some words.

I found them.

The title of my CM Big Bang is going to be:

The Distant and Dead

And so, I now have a title, the first draft of the fic is done, I have two weeks till the posting date -- let's break out the good stuff and get down to partying!

PS: I might wind up with multiple fics for my angelic_bigbang , because I have two plots that are both insistant upon being written.  One's rather biblical in nature, and the other's way more sci-fi.  I think I like the biblical one better, though.  It might even be possible for me to have "Judas" by Lady Gaga on the mix, if I do that one right.

PPS: Congrats to Japan's women's soccer team!

PPPS: I also just saw the first X-Men movie, and I've concluded that Professor X and Magneto totally boned.  Totally.  I also am sure that the movie continuity totally can be read as an allegory to the struggle for gay rights.  IN SHORT: There's more subtext between Charles and Erik than you can shake a stick at.  Also, kind of shipping Cyclops/Wolverine.  "You're a dick."  "All right."  It's just too snarky and awesome.

cyclops/wolverine, xavier/magneto, pure awesome, weird, evil gandalf ftw!, epic win, endless tags, fandom, x-men, plotting, reid/rossi, fun, i am beyond repentance, true love, epic fic is epic, bible slash, lady gaga, fanfic, excitement, religion, is this real life, parallels, poetry, go mad from the revelation, big bang, st. michael the archangel, gina/seaver
