You are right, Claire. While I know of what he did in this city, I can not be too angered at him. He did what he thought best, and if he had not done what he excelled at, I would still be blind and ignorant of what I am.

I think, for all his experimentations and mad plans, that perhaps there was a decent man to make a worthy ally within.
