Chocolate Box Letter 2017(!)
Hi, and thank you for checking out my letter :D I've thrown out a bunch of prompts (in not exactly even proportion much as I tried!) for each ship or group of characters in each fandom but if none of them speak to you, provided you're not specifically using something I mentioned as a squick/DNW for that fandom, basically make whatever you want, because I'd love to receive something for any of these ships!
On DNWs: I decided it was most helpful to provide DNWs on a request-by-request basis, since sometimes a 'yes please' in one fandom is a 'please no' in another and all that. In some cases I've listed elements that are present in canon as a DNW. Generally what this means is I don't want it to play a major part, be detailed, or the focus of the story, not that you need to pretend it doesn't exist/never happened (unless for your own reasons you'd like to).
Blanket DNWs that are a bit more relevant to some fandoms than others: terminal illness, non-canonical major character death, pregnancy, kidfic, total paralysis/I have no mouth but I must scream kind of scenarios, amputation/permanent disfigurement, ageplay/extreme underage, vomit, scat, beastiality, insane asylums, shock treatment, medical stuff.
Also my AO3 name is HannaM just in case you're a lovely person browsing for treats.
Diabolik Lovers- Komori Yui/Sakamaki Kanato or
Komori Yui/Sakamaki Ayato/Sakamaki Laito/Sakamaki Kanato
Diabolik Lovers DNWs: pregnancy or kid!fic, outright graphic non-con, Kanato or Yui dying permanently, totally uncreepy vampire romance, Yui's stuff/room being destroyed to punish her, specifically public humiliation on the street/in front of classmates or humans and I'd rather not have heights brought into it unless everyone involved can fly.
Komori Yui/Sakamaki Ayato/Sakamaki Laito/Sakamaki Kanato: SO. Yui/Triplets is actually teased a fair amount in the series, just enough to build up my frustration. There's so many ways it could happen-- a grumpy compromise in a setting where Yui's being shared among all the Sakamakis? A suggestion of Laito's (either where Yui is officially "his" or in a setting where they're sharing to begin with) that actually ends up being accepted by Ayato and Kanato for once? A competition? I love the complicated dynamics between the triplets, like how Ayato's memories are full of playing with Laito and Kanato or getting mad at their mother for not letting him play with Laito and Kanato more while neither Laito nor Kanato's memories mention the others at all. And how Ayato and Kanato immediately become extra suspicious of the other two triplets if Yui chooses them, with Laito being the only one of the three who seems to still want any closeness with his brothers if he has Yui. And of course, how Ayato and Laito team up to go after Yui on Kanato's route while Kanato and Laito operate entirely separately on Ayato's route, and Laito is clearly more inclined to offer Yui to Ayato than Kanato on Laito's route. So how does it all work out?
Komori Yui/Sakamaki Kanato: I loved that the anime kept one of my favorite Kanato moments, which is when Yui's protesting that being bitten hurts and she doesn't like it, and Kanato actually registers this, then decides to make it feel good for her instead. I really like that even in a universe where she's not his sole possession, that's still something he feels the need to do. I also like the implications that Yui has some things in common with Kanato (she wants to buy clothes for Teddy too!) especially when they're sort of dark things. Okay, I could ramble about these two forever so let me give some prompts instead! Bonding over weird things? Kanato giving Yui presents/showing her nice things and being sort of confused by his own desire to do so? Them as creepy codependent vampires? Yui doing nice things for Kanato, whether or not he fully appreciates it? Yui remembering something Kanato likes and Kanato being surprised by it? (omg I love the scene in the first game where she offers him a slice of the apple pie she baked, if he likes apples, and him just staring in surprise because he LOVES apple pie) Should you be interested in writing sex, these two characters have a lot of it and I would certainly not be opposed to them having more of it, either creepy vanilla (sex for manipulative reasons? tender loving with the constant reiteration of "you're mine"? etc) or kinky, and dubcon is fine.
Jooubachi no Oubou - Kaguya/Rin or Kaguya/Menou
Jooubachi no Oubou DNWs: Piercing/needles focus, vore, violent stuff involving eyes and fingers specifically, pregnancy, extreme underage/ageplay, a significant amount of Sumeragi.
Kaguya/Rin: So one of the things I find really interesting about Kaguya and Rin's dynamic and would always be delighted to see more of is the degree to which they see themselves in each other, and where that empathy is helpful versus where it interferes with their understanding of the other as a separate individual person. Kaguya clearly sees her own precious childhood in Rin's "innocence" and is very protective of him because she couldn't protect herself, but Rin seems to identify more strongly with Kaguya's fierce desire for survival and revenge, and the more she tries to wrap him up in blankets and take care of him the more frustrated he feels and the more desperate his desire gets to prove he's not a pet. How did he first start to hero worship her? What were their meetings like as childhood friends (probably the most inappropriately sweet thing in the game)? Have they learned anything from each other? I'd also be interested in more of the aftermath of the scene where Sumeragi goads Rin into sexually assaulting Kaguya with him. There's a whole lot of horrifying and sad implications in Rin's confusion over the idea that Kaguya's body responding didn't mean she wanted that, especially given the way he flees when Kaguya bitterly decides to force him too. And then there's the whole setup with the magical eye to play with, because I'm hardly going to rule out porn and violent stuff from a canon where that's so integral.
Kaguya/Menou: It is widely agreed that the lack of lesbian yuri route is a tragedy because Menou and Kaguya so clearly want to go there, so please feel free to go there if that is indeed where you would like to go. Particularly if you want to go all obsessive but dub con heat encounter when Menou believes Kaguya is out to get her/is imprisoned by Kaguya. Or Kaguya watching Menou sleep, because she would. Or take Menou going into heat after seeing Kaguya with her drones to the logical conclusion (Menou thinking confused thoughts about wanting Kaguya because she's not... jealous... is she? Or wanting to act on her own desires without entirely knowing how). Or even more Kaguya talking Menou through sex with someone else, or Menou seeing Kaguya taking control of Rin or ordering Utsuro around and thinking do want.
Nameless ~The One Thing You Must Recall- Eri/Nameless, Eri/Lance, Eri/Yeonho, Eri/Tei, Shibi/Soi/Eri
Nameless DNWs: A strong focus on Eri kinking on Yeonho's youthful appearance/mannerism, Eri comparing Yeonho to a little brother if you're writing Eri/Yeonho, outright graphic non-con, permadeath of any of the dolls or Soi and Shinbi.
For this fandom I'd be happy to receive fic set in canon or various AU scenarios! Particularly arranged marriage AUs, slave AUs, various supernatural creature AUs and sword and sorcery AUs. Also canon divergence AUs, of course. If we matched on Eri/Nameless I realize it's kind of difficult writing for a character with no canonical name, but I can't say I have any specific preferences so if you very understandably need to name the guy in your story, feel free to choose something thematically appropriate or whatever and I'll cheerfully go with it!
Eri/Lance: I like Lance a lot but one thing I kind of wished was more of a thing on his route is Lance encouraging Eri to stand up for herself + not worry as much about what people think, seeing as Lance probably gives the least fucks about his reputation out of of any of the dolls (I mean there was some of that, but... more?). Also down for more playfully possessive Lance and/or sexytimes, I enjoyed all the suggestiveness a lot. Or more Eri playing dress-up with Lance? (He totally worked that princess dress) Or more Lance embarrassing Eri by flirting in front of the others!
Eri/Nameless: I felt a bit cheated of a full crazypants route with ??? because I am ridiculous, so anything further exploring ??? in full human form attempting to be Totally Definitely A Fellow Human Student would be delightful. On the fluffy side, Eri helping him adjust to being a human in the human world, making new memories together. On the darker side, his jealousy over the other dolls getting to spend more time with her, or exploring one of the bad ends where she didn't build enough affection with the other dolls and ends up on the carousel with him. ??? looking after Eri with creepy tenderness/tender creepiness? .Or further exploration of ???'s end of things while Eri was on other character's routes! How does he feel about Yeonho and Tei trying to break her before he gets a chance? There's also a lot of different (creepy!) places you could go with the whole memory thing, especially since on some of the later routes even the player doesn't remember certain days.
Eri/Tei: I'm thinking mostly dark prompts here, honestly? Or at least fluff tinged with creepy. Tei obsessing over the way Eri looks when unconscious, tucking her in after she falls into a drugged slumber, having fantasies about dates with her that always devolve into 'hurt her so she's damaged enough to deserve me.' Tei slowly and sneakily seducing Eri, or Tei holding Eri captive. Or exploration of that one bad end where she works with him at Banjul without any seeming memories of before... how did he make that happen? Does that Eri fall for Tei, and does he accept her love? Does she ever get any flashes of something not being right? Bad end exploration is always A-OK by me although maybe not so much that one where she's paralyzed, that kinda freaked me out in the bad way.
Eri/Yeonho: For fluffy prompts, Yeonho cooks more cute things for Eri, trying new recipes and shapes now he has more confidence (ADORABLE BIRTHDAY CAKE?) Eri kissing Yeonho's scars and reassuring him, or maybe just more of them actually doing date things together since they got way less of that compared to some of the other routes. Cuddles! Hand-holding! Shopping! Petting zoo! Or Yeonho carefully shedding his wide-eyed shota persona to seduce Eri... For darker prompts, oh boy where do I start? Eri getting possessive over Yeonho, Yeonho getting possessive over Eri, Yeonho sneaking into Eri's bed at night , Yeonho encouraging Eri to hurt him so the pain will make him feel like she's with him even when they're apart...
Shinbi/Soi/Eri: Soi offers to help Eri out with her sexual inexperience and/or anxieties, volunteering Shinbi as well in the process? Shinbi and Soi go looking for an Eri who's stuck in one of the bad ends (like the Welcome to Banjul end or maybe even the Triangle end) to try and rescue her with their love? Generally I see this as a fluffy threesome, though I'm equally open to it being a friends with benefits thing or a more romantic thing.
Twin Peaks- Laura Palmer & Margaret Lanterman or Bobby Briggs & Garland Briggs
Twin Peaks DNWs: Slutshaming, issuefic, non-canonical incest, non-canonical animal death.
I should note that besides the original series and the movie, Fire Walk With Me, the only extra-canon material I'm familiar with is The Secret Diary of Laura Palmer (which I haven't read recently) so while you're absolutely free to reference or use material from other Twin Peaks stuff, I probably won't notice!
Laura Palmer & Margaret Lanterman: I love their little moment in the movie, and was intrigued by what Catherine E Coulson said in the behind the scenes stuff on the DVD about her character having a special connection with Laura (and I love that she said the Log Lady was "the only sane person in Twin Peaks") and would be really interested to see something on that, from either her or Laura's perspective. Margaret's log does not judge, and I'm willing to bet Margaret might not either, at least not in the same way.
Bobby Briggs & Garland Briggs: The more I rewatch this series, the more Bobby grows on me. He's a dirtbag teen who's in way over his head, but he sees the uglier side of Twin Peaks and doesn't close his eyes to it. He gets angry about it. His speech at Laura's funeral is harsh but basically accurate, and it's hard not to think part of why he tries so hard to help Shelley is because she's another beautiful blonde with an ugly secret. And Major Briggs is really trying to be a good father to Bobby (are the Briggs the only family in Twin Peaks actually doing family therapy? It sure seems like it!) but his more intellectual approach doesn't always gel with Bobby's emotional reactions. I really like their development over the course of the series, and feel like it's one of the more earned transitions to a positive relationship. So uh, more please?
