Dear Night on Fic Mountain Writer
Hi! To borrow from my Trick or Treat letter, I've thrown out a bunch of prompts for each character in each fandom but if none of them speak to you, provided you're not specifically writing something I mentioned as a squick, write whatever you want.
I've got a fairly odd combination of requests for this exchange, but ground rules are please no animal abuse (birds aren't animals) no non-canonical incest, no graphic violence and no torture.
The Americans (TV)- Henry Jennings
I love that this show is actually developing both Jennings children so much. Does Henry downplay Paige's suspicions because he genuinely doesn't think their parents are that weird, or because he doesn't want to think they're weird? (Or is he being contrary because his sister is driving him nuts?) At the moment he seems pretty caught up in his own stuff, but (and obviously this is the pitfall of requesting something that has two episodes left of the season to air at the time I'm writing this) will he begin to notice that Paige isn't complaining anymore? Is Henry glad that Philip and Elizabeth have been focusing on his sister and leaving him alone, or does a part of him feel like they're neglecting him? Is Sandra the only real person in his (ahem) private collection or are there other women he'd rather his sister not discover pictures of?
I'd also be interested in something about Henry and Paige's sibling relationship (unsurprisingly they seem to be around each other less now but there probably were a lot of times where it was just them in the house wondering when their parents were coming home) and what he thinks about her finding religion or what his school life/social life is like, or more stuff with him and the Beemans.
Overall I'd like gen for this request. Henry/his hand is obviously canon so mentions of it are fine if you want to, but not so much as the focus of the story.
Hatoful Boyfriend- Iwamine Shuu
Shuu is terrible and I love him. A day in the life of Shuu? Rejected experiments of Shuu? Observation diary on the habits of the various birds and resident weird human girl? Basically whatever so long as it is horrible/hilarious.
If you don't want to write Shuu POV I'd also be down for seeing other perspectives on St Pigeonation's resident ninja doctor. Was Yuuya onto him from the start or did he originally think the doctor was innocent enough seeming? Does Sakuya ever even notice he's there when not on the BBL route?
No bird smut unless it is like... silly/weird bird smut, I guess. Though if you want to write creepy human AU Shuu/Hiyoko smut that would be great.
I love dark comedy, and death of characters seems to happen a lot around the bad doctor, so that's fine, but I'd raaaather not have fic about the BBL route here just because what happens to Hiyoko in it was legitimately upsetting for me.
Long Live the Queen- Kevan and/or Brin
I recently finally figured out how to make Kevan not hate Elodie, and almost accidentally unlocked the conditions for a successful marriage between the two of them. Considering I was going for an entirely different relationship that run, I was surprised by how sweet I found their ending. That said, you don't have to write Kevan/Elodie. He has a deliciously fucked up past and present, and I'd love to read something about it and how it affects his relationship with his family, and protectiveness towards Briony. (Being vague in case we matched on Brin only and you want to stay unspoiled) I can't recall if Kevan and Brin are ever in the same room, but I'd be interested to see what they thought of each other, if indeed they ever think about each other at all.
I've had to marry Brin off a lot lately, but I enjoy her immensely, and props to her for being as openly lesbian as anyone in Nova can manage and not letting it get in the way of her boundless ambition. How did she get her start? (As a player in intrigues, as a lesbian, as both, take your pick) Do she and Banion usually get along or do they have at best an uneasy truce since their aims may come in conflict with each other one day? I'm also intrigued by the ending where Banion marries Elodie and Brin marries Joslyn while Elodie and Brin carry on an affair, so anything exploring that would be greatly of interest.
Though if you want to write Brin shipfic without Elodie, Brin/Julianna was evidently a thing, and Brin/Briony or Brin/Gwenelle (I think they're distantly related but creepy is not a deterrent for me) could be really interesting, perhaps with Brin trying to maneuver one of the other girls into taking the throne from an Elodie who has wronged Brin personally or otherwise not been a ruler that Brin respects.
In general, I'm fine with stories anywhere from a G rating to porn (though if it's porn I would rather the younger characters be at least fifteen).
Revolutionary Girl Utena- Kiryuu Nanami
I was so disappointed there wasn't more follow up on what happened to Nanami after she found out about Akio/Anthy and got pulled into the car with Touga and fought Utena. She has to have dealt with all that somehow, even if it was very poor/terrible dealing with (which it almost certainly was). She went to Miki at one point, but then decided it wasn't worth herself escaping if it put Miki in her situation- does she ever attempt to talk about stuff with Miki afterwards? Saionji? Tsuwabuki? KOZUE? (probably not)
That said, you totally don't have to write that! I'm also interested in pre-series younger Nanami stuff (thought not so much the cat drowning though) and how her relationship with her brother changed or Nanami's beef with Anthy (Anthy's beef with Nanami?), or Nanami's tenure as acting student council president, suddenly driven to work with Juri and Miki (or rather, to make them work for her).
Overall, I'd prefer gen for this request. Insofar as non-canonical incest, I count requited Touga/Nanami as non-canonical and would rather not see it, though Touga being creepy towards Nanami and background Akio/Anthy are fine.
