baptism.
tonight i got baptised. i feel like im entering a new chapter in my life and i want to live in full obedience to Christ, and it seemed like a perfect time to stop putting off this command and to publicly proclaim Jesus and my Lord. and it was really refreshing.
heres to new life. new beginnings. i no longer have to look back and dwell on all the mistakes ive made, all the sin, the hurt, etc. but i am washed clean of all that and can look forward to a new life that is submitted to the Lord's will. obviously, it wont be easy...but im starting to learn that the less i try to be in control, the better things work out and the less i get hurt.
anyway, just thought id share. thanks to everyone who came or showed their support. and thanks for all your love and prayers lately. it means a lot.
p.s. did i mention how stinkin BLESSED i am to be living at the H.O.D.? i dont know how i could have asked for a better family to live with. i came home to find 3 of my roomies sitting in the dark waiting for me with balloons, streamers, flowers, and casey wearing a big sign that said 'way to make a big splash'....haha they sat in the dark for 40 min waiting for me to come home! then the boys came home and we made a stinkin amazing family dinner. crazy how i planned on staying here for only a few weeks....and now ive been here for 5 months! goes to show that God has better plans than we tend to make for ourselves.
