Electronic Music Synthesis Fundamental Techniques

This is an introductory course in electronic music synthesizer techniques. Basic concepts in the synthesis of music, including generation of sound, voltage control, and treatment of sound are covered. Included is a short synopsis of the history and literature of analog electronic music. Students complete laboratory tasks on analog synthesizer modules and create a project that demonstrates the application of basic concepts.
