It's been a while...
Lately I havn't found the time to update. A bunch of stuff has happened in the past, well... 2 months, too much to deal with and I didn't know what to do. Idk I guess I've just been a little off/down/depressed, or whatever you want to call it, about stuff. But I'm back!! wooh hoo! I'm pulling myself out of a hole I dug. Seriously, just talking about stuff can make all the difference. (Thanks Robyn!!) Ha! Now all i need to do to is take ur place in 1st chair. Haha. Just kidding. Oh, and that "Olds" trumpet I have, it was made in 1947-48. And I still can't believe I restored that thing! All the valves were completely locked and wouldnt move, but now they work PERFECT. Amazing what one can do with 1 1/2 hours, a screw driver, channel locks, muscle, cloth, and determination. But even though the trumpet sounds beautiful, it still needs some work. Stuff like getting out massive dents, replaceing parts, and a good cleaning! Right now this one dent in the tuning slide just creates alot of back pressure when I play it(hurts my throat). That one I'll have to buy a special tool to get out. I'm thinking I'l fix it completely on my own. Actually my teacher at cpc suggested that I could make some serious money on the side. Something to definately look into. I'll try to post a picture of the olds online, just as soon as my camera works again. Okay, now for some fun math homework. Good ol' imaginary numbers!
