Further proof that Americans have an incredibly short memory
Seriously, do people forget what this guy did to our country? Tax cuts for the super rich. Patriot Act. Domestic wiretapping. Torture across the globe. Two disastrous and unnecessary wars. Disdain for democracy and contempt for the Constitution. Accusing political opponents of being treasonous and anti-American. Reducing regulation of industry and the banks and allowing them to destroy our economy. SHOOTING A MAN IN THE FACE!!! This is who this guy is, and yet it seems like people are warming to the man. I'd say that absence makes the heart grow fonder, but Cheney hasn't stopped putting in his two cents since he left office. Bush had the decency to retire back to Texas and leave the rest of us alone, but Cheney seems to think that everybody cares about his worthless opinions on the failings of the Obama administration. Maybe the Americans with those oft-lamented short attention spans have forgotten that Cheney used to be our Vice President and instead they think he's just some kind of harmless pundit like Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity, but even then I'd be surprised at the increase in affection because those two are just as bad if not worse.
