Is anybody surprised that Major League Baseball waited to stop Game 5 until after the Rays had tied it up? The field was just as messy in the fifth inning, or even the fourth. The only difference there, of course, was that the Phillies were in the lead for both of those innings. It's obvious that the league is desperate to hand the series to the Rays, or at least to drag it out into seven games so that they can squeeze as much money out of fans as possible. Nobody outside of Philly wants the Phillies to win, desperate as they are to validate their pre-conceived notion that the Phillies are the eternal loser of baseball. If Bud Selig's desperate attempt to hand the championship to the Rays pays off and the Phillies get denied after proving themselves the best team, then I'm going to be very pissed off and I think that anybody who cares about the Phillies should register their objection in the strongest terms possible.
