Last night I saw "The 70" with a couple of my co-workers. It was a good play, and having taken the 70 bus almost every day for the past three years I can tell you that some of the characters were spot-on to how people really act on that route. Before we went to the play we stopped at the Footnotes Cafe at Olsson's on 7th Street for some dinner and I got a delicious sandwich of smoked salmon and cream cheese with capers, tomatoes, and red onions (which I didn't eat) on a wheat bagel. The sandwiches are all named after authors, and this one was called the Ernest Hemingway.
...but I digress. Back to the show. They performed in a smallish room in the basement and had minimal props, but they were very good and the show was a good mix of humor and heart. I believe that it's playing next Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, and I would definitely recommend that anybody here who lives in DC should check it out. Refer to the Washington Post article in my previous post on this subject for show times.
