The Long and Winding Road
It's been so long since I've updated I'm sure that I am no longer on anybody's friends list; I'll write anyway just in case somebody remembers that I use to have a blog, however inane it may have been!
Right now I am sitting in the Computer lab at University of North Carolina- Charlotte. My friend Jenny brought me to her art history class this morning which I thoroughly enjoyed. I had forgotten how much I loved that class! Speaking of which, I am planning on doing something fairly risky- going to Art school. It's been a year in Charlotte and I have run out of excuses as to why I'm not going to school. Frankly, from the get-go, it's always been about fear. Fear of failure, fear of financial instability, the list is long and familiar. So why not throw caution out the 98th floor window and become an Art student? Wheeeeeee!
What else is new? Well not much. I work at an Asian Fusion restaurant and make good money. I still live in the Dilworth neighbourhood of Uptown Charlotte. Jamie has been racing dirt tracks in the area and tracking dirt in the house. Got a dog about 2 months ago named Coconut. She is an adorable, cuddly, little pitbull mix with a sweet disposition. Perfect timing too, since my parent had to put Zelda, the wild wiener dog down after 14 years just this week.
Jamie's sister was married back on the 16th of June and it was a beautiful wedding. Sorry to my Bellydance friends that I didn't get in touch, I knew I was going to be running around like mad for the wedding so I didn't get my hopes up that I'd see anyone that was close to me. Hell, I only saw my best friend since childhood for a lunch date and that was it!
Hopefully I won't wait another 40 weeks until I write again. I'll try to be a little less fragmented next time!
