Hellloooo Nurse!
So I forgot to mention last Sunday that while we were having our cook-out; my friend Shawn, who works at Carolina's Medical Center as an accountant told me about a 2 year nursing program in which all tuition is forgiven. it's through the Carolina's College of Health Sciences and I could go for 2 years and be garunteed a job when I graduate.
I ran the idea past a woman that I work with, Susan, and she said it would be worth going for and that I should go beyond nursing and get the schooling necessary to become a CRNA or a Nurse Anesthetist. The whole idea intrigued me; I haven't heard back from Charlotte Ear, Eye, Nose & Throat so I don't see why I shouldn't just throw my hat into the ring and see where I end up from here. I'm hoping that Shawn can get me talking to the right people so I can nail this thing and start my schooling right away.
the only thing that bothers me is that I have never graded all that well in high school; in college I've been inconsistent with an A here, and a D there. I can't imagine that my grade point average will have anybody jumping out of their chairs to meet me at the door but all I can do is try, right?
