It's the weekend!!

[It's finally the weekend after an eventful, but not completely horrible first week of school for Temari. Unfortunately, although she'd love to sleep in, she has work from 9 until 5 at the local supermarket. So, she drags herself out of bed, decides nothing will ever make her hair look less unruly, and dashes out of the house while eating a slice

[Rolls in at the check in. Just the normal groceries for her dad and all.
Oh yeah.
And a couple of tubs of icecream.]

[Stares at the amount of icecream this extremely skinny girl is buying.]

Are you morbidly depressed or something?

Can't a girl get some rocky road and vanilla without people questioning it?

Well sure you can get *some*- it's a different story when you're buying 6 litres of icecream at once though.

Since there's still no one around, wanna talk about it? I probably won't ever see you again, if that makes you feel better.

[Temari is surprised too- she's not normally so nice to strangers- but hey, if she doesn't make conversation she's probably going to die of boredom soon.]

Oh I'm sure you eat 6 litres of icecream every time you get hungry. It must be your secret to weight-loss!

Your shift end soon? I have ice cream. [Holds up grocery bag of said 6 litres.]

[It's odd. Deciding to share her non-existent and mundane problems with a stranger. But maybe that's what she needs.]

[Temari can't resist- she loves icecream, probably from living in a desert for most of her life.

She sighs.]

My shift ends at 5. I do have a 40 minute lunch break in... [Checks the computer screen in front of her] 5 minutes though! And icecream sounds like a great, totally healthy lunch.

And don't I know it. [Finally leaves, with her ice cream. She's probably been holding up the queue this whole time.]

[Glances at the short line of people waiting for her. There aren't that many people..

Oh what the hell, she could take an extra 5 minutes off! :D She was curious and hungry too, an unsatiable combination.

So she smiles widely at the customers and points to the other open register, walking after the blonde girl.]

[Setting herself on the bench outside, about to rip into some choc chip with one of those disposable plastic spoons she nabbed inside but stops mid scoop.]

That was quick.

[Chucks a second spoon at her, pushing a tub of icecream to her end of the bench.]

[She smirks.] It's icecream- way more important than work. Oh and your problem too. Besides, its not like they'll fire me because I left 5 minutes early.

[Grabs the spoon and starts eating the vanilla caramel swirl, smiling. Mmmmm, so good.]

You have good taste in flavours!

Anyway, spill, what happened?

[Returns that smirk. Ino thinks she's starting to like this girl already. Her priorities are on the right track anyway.]

Here, try this one. [Dumping the cookies and cream on Temari.]

Well... [Holds spoon in her mouth, thoughtful. It's not really one moment, rather a build up of little moments. And Ino likes to pig out - pardon the bad pun - sometimes. Most people aren't mean to know that though.]

There's this guy, right? [That's always how it starts...]
We're good friends. Like, really good friends. And I know there's definitely something up, for heaven's sake, he's bored. Bored. This guy could lie on his back all day. He's like the epitome of complacency but something's off... I have like a six sense for this sort of thing, trust me. And yet, he refuses to tell me anything!

[Shovelling ice cream in now. Fun fact: Ino is brain freeze resistant. Don't know what that says about her though. :|]

What was that about "communication" and all that jazz? I thought we were FRIENDS. But no, noooooo. Next thing I know, I see him kissing

[Her descriptions of the guy.. and the girl too, sound vaguely familiar, but she doesn't consciously register it yet.]

He sounds like an idiot. Why are you even his friend? He probably doesn't deserve it if he doesn't talk to you about anything..

[Temari has experience with people like that- it was frustrating and she had constantly felt like she was putting in all the effort in the friendship.]

Wait, are you jealous? Do you like him?

[She doesn't even notice herself stabbing the icecream into mush with her spoon.]

[WHAT?]

No. [Answers that maybe a little too quickly. It's true though. People just seem to be asking that far too often these days.] Can you imagine? [Laughs, a little toneless.] It'd never work out - farm animals will fly before that day ever happens.

Besides, even I couldn't do that to him. He's got that pink haired punk girl now.

[Warily eyes the stabbed icecream.]

Are you sure you don't like him? You sound like you do.. I don't know about you, but I rarely meet someone I like that much. So when I do, I try not to let anything get in the way,

[Realises she probably sounds a bit like an immoral bitch, so changes the subject.]

I live in Melbourne, how about you? It's mainly cos I get cold really easily :P So i probably can eat icecream, I'll just be wearing like two jackets at the same time hehe
