I'M BACK BIATCHES.
The Philippines was totally awesome despite me getting EATEN ALIVE by mosquitos on my last day or so. And a fire ant. Bloody fire ants.
BUT lots of good training, good practice, awesome people, good times and great memories. Finally learned the seven basic kicks by some weird coincidence, lead the Siu Nim Tau at a demonstration for a school in Manila, was flipped through the air by a Tae Kwan Do teacher and a damn awesome Wing Chun fighter, and leveled up a bit on my chi sao. Not too much of course, but I'm learning and if I keep it up, I hope I can get better. Was presented with arnis from the Philippines school along with the rest of my school and daaaamn are they light and reeeeally nice.
So yes, all in all? The Philippines trip went really well despite the hiccups in getting correct information and all. It was so mellow over there that I can't wait to go back sometime. There may be another trip in October, and if I can manage it? I'm totally going.
As sankakukoen said, this week is Be An Adult Week, and so I've...done something that will, in the end, make my life better, but has also been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. More information on that when I stop wanting to roll up in a corner and die about it. I feel both terrible and liberated at the same time, and while I know there was just...no getting out of it painlessly, I still wish sometimes that things had gone differently and had worked out in the end. *sigh*

It's that time again! Despite the colder weather, it appears that the cherries are beginning to bloom. By next week, I expect they'll be near full bloom or perhaps even in the waning stage, so we best get to viewing blossoms while we can! More information is below, but I'm looking for a headcount to see how many people want to go and what day is best for them.
Who: Any Kansai area lolitas, punks or gothics!
What: Cherry blossom viewing and outdoor picnic
When: Saturday, April 3
Time: 11:00AM to whenever - you're free to come and go as you please
Where: Osaka Castle Park
Extra: Since this is a picnic, please bring something to share with the other guests! The drink policy is BYOB (or soda, whatever you would like). If anyone has blue sheets or tarps they can bring to lay down, that would be really helpful!

There will be a smaller, regular one that will take place at another time for Kyoto hanami and that Shinsengumi izakaya. It will be mine. I swear it. COME TO ME, IKEDAYA IZAKAYA.
