It's worth getting the magazine just for the
cover picture. The tidbits about Loken's upcoming part on The L Word make it sound like we're in for much hotness, and hopefully Angela Robinson will come up with a cool project with Kris in the future. We can only hope.

I know what you're saying. I sort of liked not knowing anything about her when I wrote the fic, it was easier to assume she was a normal person. But then she does seem completely down to earth and fun loving in reality which is neat.
the interviewer pushed her, and then basically declared them "the hottest lesbian couple of the ever" based on the 'just don't look upstairs' joke
Reading the article, it seems like Kris did not really intend for her joke to be an official confirmation of the relationship. It was a probably super awkward moment for her and went beyond her ability to manage PR while being honest. I'm definitely reading that Michelle doesn't want to out herself at this point in her career while Kris is really only willing to say she's bi and in a lesbian relationship right now.
I'm really curious to see how this is all going to play out. If anybody can sell being in a lesbian relationship and having a mainstream career, it's Kris. She is that powerfully sexy and seems like she has the right personality.
This is another good reason to move on from TLW. It seems like it's a little bit of a refuge for promising lesbians who haven't been able to break into the mainstream. That's the one thing that Ilene is doing that I totally respect. She's probably employing a good number of the lesbians working in the TV business.

A very nice and rare surprise. I'd avoided interviews with her for a while, but then the obsession reached a point where it couldn't be denied any more, but I was released and pleased to find out that she was so cool.

So true. She seemed willing to talk about herself but obviously didn't intend to out Michelle, and the interview basically prodded until she produced a blush which she took as confirmation, and then took a joke that was probably just used to break tension and change the subject as a declaration. Boo on you reporter, even though "Dirt" has taught me that it is your job. Kudos to Kris, for handling the situation as best she could without lying. I do think it's smack worthy though that after basically strong arming someone into making some comments (vague as they were) that they didn't want to that the reporter was all like "well, I hope those two crazy kids work it out" like she was completely removed from the situation.

Very true. If any female celeb had to be the Lesbian Ambassador right now, I couldn't think of anyone better (well, Oprah, but Oprah's the answer to pretty much every question) to be the representative. Young, smart, sexy, funny and unpretensious ... she'd do us proud.
Though if I was a celeb, even being gayer than an easter turkey, I would never want the job of being gay ambassador. I'd totally take the Portia Di Rossi route and like just live my life and let photos speak for themselves without making a huge proclaimation and having like ten trillion spotlights shone on me.

Totally agree. I respect her efforts and what she's doing and trying to do with the show even though I don't really LIKE the show that much. I'm still glad and grateful that its on the air. And I mean if you look at the main cast, what other show on tv could you watch where you could point to 5 queer castmembers (Leisha, Laurel - bi, Mia - bi, Kate - dude, we know!, Daniela), not to mention the revolving door of queer guest stars.

Exactly the way I read it, which basically is pretty unethical and certainly goes against the rule pretty much all journalists seem to follow (not sure how it started but it seems to be the case) not to out people whose career would be affected even if everybody in the business knows very well that they're queer.
In the meantime, I'm not sure what's going to happen to Krishelle with all this. That sucks.

She's got a good a chance to be the poster girl for a lesbian that everybody can totally relate to (and want to hit on :D). As long as she stays away from Uwe.

My guess is that this will be a lesson to her and she's going to adjust her interviewing policy to downplay her private life. Sounds like she already has. Oh and she'll have to stop snogging rock stars in public also, lol.

The only ones I knew of for sure were Leisha and Daniela. Wow. Laurel and Mia? I was actually thinking also about the writers, directors, crew etc...there's probably dozens of them who are paying the rent/mortgage with this gig.
