A very strange thing has been happening to me for the past few weeks. On occasion, I find myself beset with massive stomach pain. At first I thought it was just a flu or something, but it felt extremely different in some regards. It's sort of hard to explain, but today, I was nearly unable to move from the pain.
Then I sort of figured it out. Because I was also craving McDonald's, for some reason.
As you may be aware, I'm pretty waifish. Well, as waifish as a guy can be. At any rate, I went to McDonald's and wolfed down two burgers and a large order of fries. I then realized my gorging wasn't complete, so I got yet another small order of fries.
About 5,000 calories later, the pain in my stomach was gone. I then realized what this strange new sensation was: massive hunger.
For some strange reason, maybe it's my evolving metabolism with age, or some other such nonsense, I can no longer go for long periods barely eating anything as I've done in the past. This isn't to say that I'm going to go gorge myself on fast food constantly, but even at home, I'm eating about three times what I used to.
I'm just not used to being, well, hungry.
