So that's pretty much how it happened. Bug became 'The Bug Man' and his three childhood friends used the past to humiliate him to gain whatever it is you gain when you humiliate someone.

Strangely enough, Bug did not. And although he could have easily told countless stories about his three friends (such as the one about Scott pissing his pants the first time they went on the giant roller coaster) he didn't. His perception of their friendship didn't change. And that's the way it is for kick-around-kids. That's their downfall. It's called loyalty. And though some might consider it a loyalty to others, you might find (upon closer examination) that it was a loyalty to himself above anything else. And that's what people, in an age long forgotten, called character.
