Sometimes I forget

I had, quite possibly, one of the best weekends I've had in a while.

It started Thursday afternoon when Lauren came up to visit. I took a few days off work to make her 3+ hour drive worth it. We got some Kim Moon and watched The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was a nice relaxing night. Friday we drove out to Pittsburgh to see my sister. She is getting very pregnant. I worry for her when her milk starts coming it, because her boobs have already gotten HUGE. Her place is really nice, three floors, all of the rooms are huge, and she's super close to the strip, oakland and downtown. We went to eat at Fuel and Fuddle and stayed til the end of the first period of the Pens game. The Pens won, which made my life! So exciting. I've been listening all season, and it was awesome to see their hard work pay off. In fuckin' spades.

Saturday morning we decided to go and kayak on the Allegheny. It was a lot of fun. We had a gorgeous day. We spent about an hour out on the water. People on one of the Gateway Clipper boats were taking pictures of us, which was amusing. After we went to Fudgie Wudgie where I got some ballin' pistachio fudge. Cringe if you want, but I've just got this thing for pistachios. It's quite tasty. We went out to lunch and then made a voyage to Regent Square so I could hit up D's six pack shop. Holy Shit. So many kinds of beer. Literally hundreds to choose from. I spent more than 30 dollars on beer. I can't wait to taste them.

We came home that evening and relaxed. Played tennis yesterday. I finally went to Giant Eagle and picked up my Hank III tickets for next weekend. Em pointed out the Altar Bar for me on the strip, and from the outside it looks like this sweet renovated church, so I can only imagine how cool the inside is going to be. I haven't been to a show in a long time, and I'm just looking forward to spending the evening with my pops kicking back a few beers and having a good time. He said he wouldn't be doing shots of tequila, so thankfully I shouldn't have to be his babysitter. It's hard to babysit a man who is around 8 to 10 inches taller than you and outweighs you by at least 100 pounds. It's going to be sweet.
