I haven't bought or done anything Tales related in a LONG time, but I couldn't resist buying this book. Randomly saw it at Kinokuniya today, and picked it up. It made me remember why I love this series so much.
Cover Price: ¥2800

TIMELINE
First up, we have a long time line of the Tales series of what was released - From OVAs to all the games, handheld or console. Looking back at this, I can't believe stuff like ToP The Animation came out in 2005. Felt like 2 or 3 years ago it came out.
SYNOPSIS & DATA
Next, they go through every single Tales game's data. System, art, characters (villains included), story, etc. If a title had a remake/port, it's mentioned and showcases the art/cover and additions that were made. Typical synopsis stuff.
OP GALLERY
Nothing special here as it's really small, but hey. It's cool they included this.
CUT-INS GALLERY
Also nice that they included em in here. If you missed out on previous art books and guides for this sort of content, this is the book to have! (Although quality will never be as good as direct rips from the game, of course.)
SD GALLERY
Once again, stuff we all haven't already seen from previous books, but nice to look through in one book.
ARTISTS GALLERY & INTERVIEW
Nice. Fujishima draws Lion, and Inomata draws Yuri. Kind of awkward, yet they still look good.
VOICE ACTOR/ACTRESS MESSAGES
As if the previous section of Fujishima and Inomata wasn't awesome enough, every single playable character's seiyuu (and Claire lolz) decided to write a message with their signature. Character "status art" and a photo of the actor/actress are included as well. (Three major roles that they've done in other games/anime are also listed. Too bad for Fumihiko Takichi, Kirino's Dad from OreImo wasn't listed. LoL)
Yukana's signature is as
cute as ever. Also, I know nothing about Touchi's character from Graces (or Graces in general), but that sure is a lot of
hearts... Especially for a guy who I've seen nothing but manly roles of, in games/anime.
