So I went to see this AMAZING play at the Barrow Street Theatre, an off-Broadway theatre in New York. It's called ORSON'S SHADOW and it's about Orson Wells and his friendship/working relationship with Laurence Olivier (during the time that Olivier is in the process of leaving Vivian Lee). It was the most moving play I have seen in years. It has so much to say about the legacy we leave behind, and the nature of real love. I laughed, I cried, etc. It also plays with different theatre styles, sometimes addressing the audience in a comedic manner, sometimes being extremely truthful. And the staging is gorgeous.
Jason Evans...if you are ever able to find a script you MUST read this play. It is truly amazing and it made me think of you.
