Next Muppet Movie?
Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I just saw a blog post about the script for the new Muppet movie, with the working title "The Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time."
The post includes a link to a review of the script at Ain't It Cool News? It does contain some spoilers.
Supposedly, the script will have "a story centering on Kermit having to reunite the gang to save the studio from an evil oil tycoon." I wonder how relevant that will be by the time they actually put it out? Of course, I'm sure that gas prices will continue to be a problem.
A bigger issue, though, is whether or not they should do a movie that seems to be very similar in setting and plot to "The Muppets Take Manhattan." According to the article, they will be putting on a television show and looking for stars to help them.
