in memory of my mentor, advisor, and friend

Dr. Goff loved her work as a teacher and felt that through it she contributed to the improvement of the world. Recently she wrote: “I’ve had a hand in the making of many doctors and veterinarian. But I am as proud, if not prouder, of the university professors, high school teachers and math teachers, environmental lawyers, organic farmers, environmental and community activists etc. Without any children of my own, they are a legacy I can feel good about.”

Cook College / Rutgers University lost a great one the other morning. As a great professor, an invaluable advisor, a guide for Alpha Zeta, and a friend, Dr. Goff will always be intertwined within most of my best memories from undergrad. I hope my career at Cook, and now my professional career has made her proud as I attempt to be part of her afformenioned legacy.
