Awesomeday and the legend of the lost pants!** :D
Awesomeday! It's wednesday night tonight 'cause omg Tuesday was too full of awesome to stop & write!!
1. OMG, birthday fuss! Was escorted to Max Brenner's for chocolate indulgence, followed by rare muppet screening of old old clips -- not only of things I hadn't seen before but of muppet bits I hadn't even heard of! Some of which were brilliant! And after 90min of brilliant vintage Jim Henson? 90 MORE minutes -- The Muppet Movie on big screen, a first for me. And entire day of SO MUCH AWESOME and a whole lotta love. I was glowing for at least 16 hours after. :)
2. Smaller birthday awesome -- this weekend in chinatown, I found myself little treats: a deeply sandalwood scented fan (found by sweetie actually, not me), and a PENGUIN ICE CUBE TRAY! Yes! I HAVE PENGUIN-SHAPED ICE CUBES IN MY FREEZER!
3. Also awesome - this weekend in chinatown, found a place as yummy and reasonably priced as my old favorite spot. YAY!
4. I found out that I can switch my ASL class -- from the current one which is okay, but frustrating, to a different section with the same kick-ass teacher from last semester! Yay, successful learning & extra fun ASL class!
5. Friends who start awesomeday without me!! I get my dose of shiny happy people even if I'm slow on the start. :) *warm smile at someone who probably knows who she is* :)
6. Puppies. Puppies behaving in ways that were so OMG SILLY that I wish I'd thought to record it on the video camera on my phone. Just unbelievably funny. (There was spare time in between chocolate fuss and muppet fuss yesterday. We went to a pet store and looked at insanely cute puppies. And one kitten. Am still in love with the kitten of gorgeous! Beautiful fuzzy critter that nuzzled up to me when I stuck my fingers in the cage.) [EDIT: Here, have a kitty: http://is.gd/1TSlF It looks nothing like the little peach beauty I fell for, but after 30 minutes of googling and no luck finding a similar one, you can have this cutie and like it.]
7. I've an old friend in from out of town who I get to see for dinner friday, yay!
8. My mom is making me her famous blueberry pizza in honor of my birthday tomorrow! (It's a simple tart like thing - basic cookie crust, covered in fresh blueberries, covered in cinnamon streusel & baked. It is a thing of YUM that she doesn't make very often.)
9. As a Leo, my birthday season is actually about 2-3 weeks long. How can this be anything BUT awesome? :)
and now, I sleep. And sleep is quite seriously awesome! Especially that it is now late enough at night that it's my birthday in truth, not just in season.
