Lets start with Friday. I got up to take my dad to the airport to rent the van we were going to take. But as soon as I got home he pretty much called me asking me to pick him up from the airport and take him to Enterprise, apparently there was a bit of a problem so I went and did that then finally got some gas in my car and went home so I could shower and head over to Central. There was a bit no an alumni day and I saw many people I hadn't seen in quite some time which was good. Went up to FYT for a bit after that and chatted with Steph, Laura, and Sam then headed home. I finished packing and burning CDs and took me and mom out to dad's so we could leave from Grand Blanc. We were going to go to Kroger and return bottles and get some snackage/ food for the trip but since Hayes was so close we decided to wait for him. And lo and behold he was dropped off by his elusive girlfriend who we would have met had Hayes not intervened..curses. After a trip to the store we packed yup and headed for the open road. I drifted in a out quite a bit in between the night but as we got closer to Massachusetts I was completely awake.
Saturday we got to Candace's school where we changed and went to lunch in the dining hall and went to the awards ceremony they held for the seniors in the chapel. Candace won an award for..something or another, but I was happy for her and after she went to change we all went to the Red Roof Inn in West Springfield and after unpacking dad and Candace went to go pick up Syl and I took a nice shower while Hayes slept (what's new?). After visitng the girl's room for a bit we all went out to dinner at a place called Ninety-Nine Cent and had some Applebeesesque (is that a word?) food and it was good. Then we all went back to the hotel to sleep or whatever seeing as we needed to be at the school early for the graduation. I ended yup falling asleep around 10:30 or 11 and was up by 6:45 the next day.
Sunday we all got to actually sleep in while dad took Candace back to school and came back so we could get dressed and take our time getting there. Syl of course was determined that we get there at least 2 hours before it started so we could have good seats. I also learned that Hayes is an ass (what else is new, right?) he was supposed to give me a copy of "Oh, The Places You Go" to be passed to me and then to Candace. And wouldn't you know I got it hours before the bloody graduation..way to go Hayes. Of course that pissed me off that I only had it for a few hours before giving it off to my sister to have for who knows how long..at least I got it. That's the important thing, right? Anyway we got in the van an drove an hour to get there, but not before stopping at Friendly's to get some breakfast. It took forever to get out food, but once we ate it we all jetted out of there and to the school which was crowded because of graduation festivities. While mom and Syl took a shuttle to the graduation site the rest of us walked there and we ended up getting pretty good seats and the graduation took place. One of the cool things about it was they had the sheriff of the country open and close the commencement and he had an axe and an outfit similar to that of Brian Doyle-Murray in Groundhog Day. :D
After the ceremony was over, we went to the gym for a lunch and afterwards we packed up the girl and left the school and returned to our hotel. I discovered this show on Cartoon Network called Total Drama Island that was pretty interesting and it makes me wish I had cable. We went to eat at this buffet like OCB a little later and after we went back to the hotel again. I caught some interesting stuff on HBO and enjoyed it a lot.
Monday dad and Candace took Syl to the airport while the rest of us got everything ready and of course Hayes and I watched the SVU marathon on USA before hand and we got drawn into it. After we got packed up we hit the road around 10:30 or so. We stopped a bit and I drove a little while in New York and we made pretty good time getting back to Michigan and dad's around 2 or 2:30 after we took some stuff inside mom and I left. And so ends the weekend trip.
So now we're all graduated and it's an interesting feeling we're all grown up now and no longer stuck in the world of high school. So now we all go forward to carve our own paths for ourselves in the world. :)
Ok...this obligated update is done so now I can get to other updates. When I have the time. :P
Later days people. :)
