Evolve (i.e. sunburn)

I have a debilitating sunburn. I can hardly move. I could blame myself for bringing inadequate SPF15, non-waterproof sunscreen to Evolve and not applying it often enough, or I could blame humanity for fucking with our atmosphere so much. Reason #27 for hating humanity: this terrible sunburn.

Aside from the sunburn, Evolve was alright. The people I camped with were all great (with, perhaps, one exception... but even he was okay once I got used to him, as long as he wasn't drooling on my sleeping bag, yelling, spilling beer on me or passed out on my feet). The rain the first day was annoying, the nights were ridiculously cold, and some of the bands I thought I'd like didn't end up being very good (e.g. Wasabi Collective... I sort of liked them last year, but this year they seemed a bit juvenile with their "hey, we are extremely positive people and we like to preach about 'living for the moment' in every song" lyrics). I enjoyed the outdoorsy aspect of the event, and hanging out with 2/3s of my roomates for next year was really nice. Sometimes I felt the whole thing was a bit too "sceney" for my taste but, all in all, it was a good weekend.

This sunburn, however, is a horrible purplish piece of shit. I'm scared to go outside. When Doug's done getting ready, we may go to Jason's BBQ, if it's not too late. I might have to wear a burqa.
