OK kids, get ready for something exciting and amazing.

I don't know how many of you have heard of National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org/modules/xoopsfaq/index.php?cat_id=13) but it happened in the month of November. I missed the boat, but that's ok, since everyone else around here did as well.

This is the gist. You have exactly one month to write a novel of 50,000 words or more from start to finish. You can do some plot sketching and character creating beforehand, but on day one you hit the ground writing and churn that sucker out. To hell with editing and paragraphs that are crafted with skill and an eye for the flow of the words. We are talking about pure, sweet, hard, word count.

Anyway, that's the goal, but here is my deal. This January, I, along with David, Trey, and Christ Taylor (probably) will be embarking on the 50,000 word journey. I invite you to join us! We will be posting about it (those of us with journals) and having a good time with it. There will be a pre and post party for participants where we talk about our literary balls and have a drink to quest at hand.

Janel, Anthony, Andy, Jason, Mike, Caleb, Jonathon, WHOEVER READS THIS THING reply with a resounding "HELL YES! I WILL FIGHT WITH YOU TO HAVE A GREAT TIME WRITING SOME STUPID NOVEL!" The boat leavs on January 1, and docks at sweet victory harbor on the 31st. This can be done, and we can all do it. LETS GET PUMPED!
