Day 1➝ Your favorite J-rock group.

La'cryma Christi

I miss them so much - you don't even know.

Formed in 1992 by college roommates Taka and Hiro, Stripped Lady was the first step in growth for this band.  Levin and Koji, high school friends, were recruited together.  Kita-J was the original bassist for this line up but was replaced a year later  by Shuse.  With a simple name change, La'cryma Christi was born.  They released their single, 'Siam's Eye' in 1994, and the rest is history.

This was my first Jrock band.  I remember how I discovered them quite clearly.  I was thirteen and had just discovered Gackt through a friend.  I decided to take a 'Which Underrated Jrock Band Are You?' quiz and La'cryma Christi was my result.  It couldn't  have been more perfect.  I think most people would find Taka's voice rather high and hard on the ears, but considering my other favorite band is Our Lady Peace, I'm use to it. -lol- Taka's range is effortless, Hiro and Koji worked so well together, Levin never disappointed with his bouncy beats, and Shuse showed his enthusiasim by ALWAYS rocking out way too hard, even to the slow songs.

Sadly La'cryma Christi became cracked in 2005 when Koji split for musical differences.  I can see why, personally.  La'cryma was going in a different direction than what Koji wanted.  The band broke off in 2007 and but luckily they are still in touch and working heavily in the music industry.  Taka and Hiro created Libraian, Shuse is off with Yasu in Acid Black Cherry, Koji came together with Jun from Pierrot and an unknown named Shouta to created ALvino, whereas Levin has been a recent support drummer for ALvino.

Needless to say, I still listen to these boys on a daily basis. ;P  Some songs I recommend is 'Blossom', 'The Scent', and 'Warm Snow.'
