i feel like my livejournal has turned more into a "i'm going to mope about shit then delete the post coz it sounds pathetic and i dont want people judging me" journal.
so to shake things up a bit, i'm going to post some photos.
last night was pizza thursdays, where my best buddies and i make healthier pizzas and share them while we drink margaritas (with fresh strawberries) and hang out & shoot the shit. its really fun, and i wish i had a car so i could make it to each thursday. i really miss hanging out with my friends, and i feel like that privilege is slowly starting to be taken away. sad story.
anyway, i documented my pizza making process with my phone, because i wanted to see how pictures came out.
i just got this new phone, the samsung galaxy s 4g....and i love it. it makes my life really easy. i hated my last glitchy phone and its old technology.
but yeah, the photos are pretty decent. i was using an app to change the photos a bit just because i like a tiny bit of vignetting and color distortion, so dont expect no 2347219384934827mega pixel, macro zoomed, crisp photos!
i bought the dough because im lazy.
sprinkle some flour on the counter & dough
roll it out.
(i used a glass because there was only one rolling pin)
roll it out thin & fitted to your pan. oil the pan and lay it on top. continue to get your desired shape.
grab ends and fold them over, and pinch them so they stay formed into a crust.
bake it for a little bit just so its a little crisp. this way, the dough isnt super soft, but instead, more crunchy.
lay on some pesto...
mmm...pesto
ay on all the toppings your heart desires! i made a veggie pizza because i wasnt really in the mood for meat.
zucchini, yellow squash, green bell peppers, mushrooms, some mozarella cheese, spinach, tomato, rosemary, italian seasoning, a little more mozzarella on top, toss it in the oven and watch it.
looks like a salad pizza! :)
after it cooked a little bit, i added some more pesto (because i saw my friend had put a shitload mroe for her base, and it looked way more delicious) and some roasted sunflower seeds for a more toasted taste. i popped it back in the oven...
and this was the end result.
granted, the tequila was hitting me a lot at this point and i left it in longer than i meant to (oops), but it was still super good, crunchy, and filling! i cut it into 12 pieces, and i ate three.
for food porn's sake.
i made two pizzas, one for me and one for chris, coz he wanted pepperoni, and i wanted to not worry about making lunch the next day.
his has the above ingredients (minus the sunflower seeds) plus pepperoni.
mmm.
we're taking our leftovers (which was pretty much almost everything) for lunch @ work today. yess.
oh, roxie says hai
