i have a (possibly) vietnamese jaw-harp that has the best tone of any that i have ever played, and it's made out of a thin sheet of brass that has had the edges bent, and looks like it was made with an angle-grinder:
it's "boingier", holds it's tone longer, and is less dangerous to my teeth than any other that i've seen.
