So I FINALLY have internet, yay! Something else to do now besides stare at the wall or obsessivly watch the Weather Channel to make sure there are no more damn hurricanes coming. Good lord, so much has happened since my last update, I can't even really go into all the major details...so here's the short version -
Came home from Tennessee on my birthday, spent my birthday driving for 6 hours in horrible traffic and later cleaning our our refridgerator of all the food that was moldy and what not, best birthday ever I tell ya. A branch fell on the back of our house, shattered our skylight, our gutters are like ruined, and the roof is pretty messed up as well. Lost a bunch of trees too, it's still a mess outside. Few days ago, Rita hit so there was a lot of debris from that...obviouisly not as bad as Katrina but still it was pretty windy so there's a lot of crap everywhere again.
Been working, a lot! Doing all those insurance pictures for people. Our lab usually does like maybe 20-30 rolls of film a day, we've been doing at least 200 a day since the storm, it's just insane. My manager stayed all night a few days ago just to catch up, and I stayed till like 2 in the morning one night to catch up as well. Finally we can do 1-hour again instead of a few days, but still we're doing a lot more rolls than usual. Plus I'm sure Rita pics will soon be coming in...bleh.
My dad's girlfriend is living with us now because her house flooded in Kenner. Wasn't really asked or anything, but I guess with the situation there wasn't really an option. Just gotta deal with it.
School was canceled for the semester, don't know if I can graduate in 4 years now or not. :(
Other then that, stuff is just boring. Can't go anywhere farther than Laplace right now pretty much, nothing is open anywhere it seems. And even if they are, they're probably out of everything anyways. Crazy stuff. Got to Mandeville the other day to see Brian, first time in like a month, but had to leave like super early because they have curfews everywhere. Poor Brian has no car, no internet, no cable...he's bored as hell. I bought him a bunch of movies to watch and was going to bring them to him tomorrow, but ever since Rita hit I can't get in touch with him so I don't know.
Walmart emailed me...canceled my order of a really cute pair of shoes cuz of Katrina. Grr!
FUCK HURRICANES TO HELL! One more, I swear I'm moving to Canada...
