01. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?: graduated college, got engaged
02. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?: i hate to say it, but i don't make resolutions....*guilty look*
03. Did anyone close to you give birth?: nope.
04. Did anyone close to you die?: yes, unfortunately.
05. What countries did you visit?: um. southern california ought to count as a country.
06. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?: money. it sounds shallow, but it's the truth--i agree with James. i'd also like to add "a good job that doesn't make me hate working."
07. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?: May 7th-graduation, May 23rd-engagement, June 6th-family vacation :)
08. What was your biggest achievement of the year?: surviving.
09. What was your biggest failure?: not standing up for myself better.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?: a little o' both.
11. What was the best thing you bought?: an engagement ring for my fiance. te he.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?: my sister's. she's really worked hard this last year, and i'm so proud of where she is.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?: unfortunately quite a few people, leading to my recent struggle with trusting people and having faith in human beings.
14. Where did most of your money go?: trying to survive. see: bills and groceries.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?: my wedding :D
16. What song will always remind you of 2004?: "Good Life" by Francis Dunnery
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder?: a little of both.
ii. thinner or fatter?: definitely fatter.
iii. richer or poorer?: eesh. SO poorer.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?: networking.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?: living in boulder.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?: well, i spent Christmas with my family at home
22. Did you fall in love in 2004?: :) came into 2004 very much in love.
23. How many one-night stands?: with my fiance?
24. What was your favorite TV program?: definitely extreme home makeover home edition. helps undo some of the bad week, i think.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?: no. have lost friends, though.
26. What was the best book you read?: Into Thin Air by a guy whose initials are JK (something like John Krakauer)
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?: have always liked John Mayer, never realized what a great musician he really is.
28. What did you want and get?: a proposal.
29. What did you want and not get? my grandma's recovery.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?: i'll go with Meet the Fockers because i so desperately needed the laugh.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?: on my 22nd birthday i had a meeting, and then doug and i got takeout.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?: getting a better job.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?: lol. did not know i had one of these.....
34. What kept you sane?: doug, believing deeply in there being a plan.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?: Bono. someday i will tell my pathetic story about this.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?: women's rights and economics. (oooh! james! three years of college later, i have THE rebuttal to our argument with your dad on affirmative action *grins proudly*)
37. Who did you miss?: my grandma.
38. Who was the best new person you met?: michelle. she's very cool, she volunteers at my dream job, and she has to be one of the healthiest people i have ever encountered.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004: it is never THAT bad. if you give up or give in, you're shortchanging your own potential and adding a slap to the face for all those who have ever actually had it THAT bad.
40.
