So I guess I haven't updated in a few weeks... again... oops! Whatever I've been busy! Let's see... well, my trip to Fredericton was awesome! Since then I've been swamped with school work. Assignment, papers, projects, tests... I can't wait until it's over, which is actually in one week!!! Penney coming home the next day is just the icing on the cake, and we're already making plans for our summer together. I signed up for my motorcycle course yesterday, so sometime in June I will be cruising around everywhere on a bike, which is gonna be amazing! What else is new? Most people who read this will probably know I got 2nd place in CBU's version of American Idol, Pit Idol. I was pretty pumped. According to a few people I should have gotten first, but the girl who actually won hangs out with the judges, so whatever. 2nd place, $300 is fine by me! For never singing before, I think that's a good start. I've actually been offered to go over to a guy's studio and record some of my own tracks, as wellas do some stuff with him for a cd he's making himself, so that's pretty damn cool. I've been working on writing a lot of my own stuff, so I'm hoping to have enough songs for a cd soon and go record something. The stuff I'm doing myself is much different than Trunk Full of Funk's stuff, so I'm keeping the two seperate, but I also think I'll be doing more singing for TFOF, so that's cool too. We're looking to play some shows in the summer, and Hermans gave us an open offer to play there as soon as we're ready, so that's also very cool. Basically I've been pretty busy, but it's also been a very successful year for me. Gone from doing nothing, to acting in a Shakespear play, writing a one act play and acting in a one act play, that went over amazingly well in the festival, placing 2nd in a singing contest after never even singing Happy Birthday in public before, and now hopefully kicking off soem stuff with my band as well as a solo project. All that, plus how amazing this summer with Penney is going to be, with my motorbike, makes me the happiest I've been in a long time. I feel like I'm doing something meaningful I guess. Like everything I feel passionate about works out for the best. It's great! Just one last thing, I want to do a couple of duets, so if anyone that reads this is interested, or knows someone that might be, email me or something and let me know what's up. Don't worry about style, or genre, or anything, I can work with whatever you throw at me, and the more diverse stuff I have, the better. Until next time everyone, peace!
